While we all expected that the lockdown will come to an end on May 31, here comes the big news. The lockdown has been extended till June 30 all over the nation. While in the green and orange zones, some relief will be provided, in red zone or containment areas, the lockdown will be as strict as before. Some are calling it as Lockdown 5 while some are calling it as Unlock Phase 1 since the Government has laid out some guidelines over how the economy will open in the coming days.

As per the reports, the economy of the country will be opened in three phases. The first phase has given permission to religious places, hotels and restaurants to reopen from June 8. People will, however, have to observe all the social distancing rules. The night curfew has been imposed which means people cannot step out of their homes between 9 pm-5 am unless essential. In the containment zones, only essential commodities will be available. In phase two, schools, colleges and other educational institutions will reopen.

Further, the Ministery of Home Affairs has also shared guidelines for its citizens to follow. The list includes things like mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing, work from home for people who can, and more. For special gatherings like marriages, only 50 people are allowed as guests. For funerals, only 20 people are allowed. The restriction on inter-state and intra-state has been removed. Check out the guidelines set here.
