As the state gears up for Ganeshotsav 2024, preparations to welcome Lord Ganesha have been going on in full swing, especially Mumbai’s most iconic Lalbaugcha Raja. On July 2, 2024, ahead of the Ganeshotsav, the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvjanik Ganeshotsav Mandal conducted a Mandap Poojan of Lalbaugcha Raja as it would be the 91st year of Ganeshotsav at the Lalbaug Market.

For those who don’t know, Lalbaugcha Raja is Mumbai’s most revered and grand century-old Ganesh puja pandal which draws more than thousands of devotees every year from across the globe. The pandal is also visited by Bollywood actors, celebrities, and top politicians, every year. The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Mandal will unveil the majestic idol for 2024 on September 7, following the official first-look unveiling ceremony.

Lalbaugcha Raja Darshan dates and timings:
Ganeshotsav Start Date: September 7, 2024
Ganeshotsav End Date: September 17, 2024

Visarjan Date: Since a huge immersion procession takes place across South Mumbai, organized by Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Mandal, the procession likely take place in the wee hours of September 18. The darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja remains open round-the-clock until the Visarjan Day. It is advisable to visit the pandal early or late in the day due to the long queues. 

Traveling Details:
Mumbai Local Trains: If traveling from the Harbour Line Chinchpokli is the nearest station to Lalbaugcha Raja and from the Central Line, it is Parel. Both the stations are very well-connected. On the other hand for the Western line, one can alight at Dadar. From the station, travelers can catch a cab to the Ganesh Pandal.
