'The Kardashians' is all set to witness a new dramatic turn as a new trailer for season 3 of the show seemingly confirmed that Kourtney and Kim entered another feud era after the former's wedding to Travis Barker.
On the recently release episode, Kourtney became emotional while speaking about her sister Kim's Dolce & Gabbana deal following Kendall Jenner's visit to her home. Kourtney explained how she was upset with Kim’s deal to serve as creative director of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Milan just months after D&G designed Kourtney's Italian wedding.
The 44-year-old told Kendall that Kim is in Milan doing "this whole Kim Dolce & Gabbana Ciao Kim living la dolce vita whatever." "This isn't really even about business for me. It's just like this like was my wedding and actually how I've lived my life every summer for like five years in a row, like living la dolce vita, genuinely," Kourtney explained to Kendall.
A DailyMail report also quoted Kourtney adding that during her Italian wedding with Travis Barker last year, "Kim was having these conversations with Dolce that I didn't know about. She had called me and told me she was doing a SKIMS collab with Dolce & Gabbana, just telling me."
Kourtney recalled, “I go, what is the point of this call? Is it to get my blessing, is that why you're calling? And she's like, 'I guess,' cause she wasn't like, 'Hey, I got this offer. How do you feel about this? I really want the money,' or whatever it was she was feeling. And then she called me I think another time, she was like, 'Hey I just want to see if you want to go to Milan for my Dolce thing. It's not with SKIMS anymore but we're trying to figure it out,' and that was the last I heard about it."
"I see both sides. I could see how you could feel like you had your toes stepped on," said Kendall as she tried to be the common ground between Kourtney and Kim.
However, Kourtney continued, "'I just feel like there's so many, like an abundance of opportunities," before she broke down and covered her face. She added, "Sorry, it just, like, upsets me," as she sobbed into her hands.
"Like everything I did was pulling references of 90s, it's just stupid because it's the deeper thing that it's about, grabbing whatever's in the way. It's like such an abundance or like an excess, like it's never enough, it's never just OK to not do something or turn something down because it doesn't make sense," Kourtney added.
She then elaborated, "She (Kim) wasn't happy at my wedding. Everyone else was like, 'Whoa this is amazing. We're having the best time.' She can never like give acknowledgment of like, 'Whoa this is so amazing. I love this whole vibe. Do you mind? Or how do you feel about me doing something? Because I'm never gonna like really probably tell someone not to do something."
However, despite venting it out, Kourtney admitted that Kim did not do it deliberately, adding it’s "totally subconscious."
Kendall tried to blow off the steam and agreed by pointing out, "She's not doing anything maliciously."
"I think she sees everything that I had there and takes it for her own and she doesn't even see it. She sees it as like the dollar signs, but to me, I see it, and I see it like, oh, you were there, you weren't happy. Everyone said something to me, all my friends, they were all like, she's like spiralling," Kourtney added.
During the latest episode, Kendall also spoke of Kourtney’s connection with D&G and said that she has a "long-lasting relationship" that she "nurtured for a long time" and they’re her friends.
"You then had your wedding with them, that was a big deal for you. With that being said, I do think that as sisters, we also have to understand when someone has a job or when someone's getting paid a lot of money to do something, we have to try and see where this could work for both of us, I guess," she said.
Kourtney acknowledged, "I think it's about communication. Mom never mentioned it to me," as Kendall said it's 'not fair' how it was handled.
Kourtney replied, "Mom still has never mentioned it and mom feels like she is like entitled almost, like she doesn't have to get my permission. And I'm like no, of course, no one has to get my permission, but if you want to have a good relationship and make me not want to run… and if I did it to Kim, she would freak out, but to me it was more personal." She continued, "I think that's why it hurts my feelings. It was my actual wedding. The year your sister got married, you then made a deal to do this fashion show. Don't do it the same year that comes out four months later. It's not like I did the campaign and she did the campaign right after, who cares, that's business. It's my actual wedding, and that wasn't a business deal for me. I did it because it felt really personal."
In the episode, Kim also shared her views on Kourtney’s claims and an Elle report suggests that Kim had no idea about Kourtney’s conclusions.
"My mom has known Dolce and Gabbana for a long time and they were always asking me—even before the wedding—if we could do a book," Kim shared in 'The Kardashians' Season 3 premiere.
She added, "Kourtney and Travis just worked with Dolce and that was the whole vibe of her wedding. Then after the wedding, I got a call saying they wanted me to creative direct their fashion show in Milan. I think this is such a good opportunity that I don't want to pass this up."
