NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s death in a fatal helicopter crash in Calabasas, California left everyone shocked. The crash took place on January 26, 2020 and along with the basketball player, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, the pilot Ara George Zobayan and six others also died in the accident. After the crash, Kobe’s wife Vanessa Bryant had filed a lawsuit against Ara and the helicopter company Island Express. Now, responding to the lawsuit filed by Vanessa, the pilot’s rep blamed the passengers on board for the accident.
TMZ reports that a relative of pilot Ara George Zobayan said, “Any injuries or damages to plaintiffs and/or their decedent were directly caused in full or in part by the negligence or fault of plaintiffs and/or their decedent, including their knowing and voluntary encounter with the risks involved, and that this negligence was a substantial factor in causing their purported damages, for which this answering defendant bears no responsibility." However, earlier reports on the Internet stated that the pilot took off that morning in spite of LAPD and other law enforcement agencies grounding their fleet owing to fog and poor visibility.
It was also reported that the pilot was going at the speed of 184 MPH and crashed into a hill.
Meanwhile, a few days ago on May 1, was Gianna’s birth anniversary. Jennifer Lopez took to her social media and shared a lovely picture with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez and kids to wish late Kobe Bryant's daughter Gigi who would have turned 14 years old this year.
