Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce after six years of marriage on February 19, 2021, has triggered curiosity among fans. The two have even reached a settlement. The fashion mogul previously revealed that her divorce from Kanye prompted after she could no longer continue being his ‘clean-up crew’.
In an earlier episode of The Kardashians season 3, Kim was seen crying while talking to her mother Kris Jenner about her divorce from Kanye.
In the confessional interview, the SKIMS founder tearfully added: “I still feel the need to not talk about it and protect it from my kids and I will always feel that way, but God, if people knew. I would never do that to my kids. It’s just really crazy.”
Elaborating on the reason for their divorce, the reality TV star explained that she was exhausted from cleaning up after the rapper’s outbursts - both on social media and behind the scenes.
To this momager Kris responded: “Well that’s why you got divorced, because you can’t do that to yourself anymore. Nobody does, you never deserved to live like that.”
The SKIMS founder further admitted that she was left heartbroken and could no longer recognise the man she once married. Kim explained, “It’s the hardest feeling to watch someone you really loved and have a family with, just be so different from who you knew.”
Kanye West even decorated the headlines owing to his social media outbursts; but, Kim explained that their children don’t know anything about his controversies and explained that she “blocks” all channels except for Apple TV for fear they’ll see something.
The former couple’s relationship hit a rock bottom when she began dating her now ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Owing to her new relationship, West went on a social media rampage about Kim.
