Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Hrithik Roshan, Sara Ali Khan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were recently criticised by the internet for their hypocrisy. Fitness influencer and YouTuber, Nitin Maurya took to his platform to criticise the celebrities for endorsing unhealthy food while refraining from eating the same food as they lead a health-conscious lifestyle. The viral video starts with Kartik revealing that he doesn’t eat pizza and burgers, he doesn’t consume sugar. However, he is seen promoting a fast food chain and soft drink brand while consuming both.

The clip shifts to Samantha on her podcast stating that people should be careful about the drinks they have as it consists of sugar. She goes on to share, “Dark chocolate is helping me then. All my food is now cooked in coconut oil.” As the clip concludes, she is seen promoting sunflower oil, a chocolate brand, a soft drink brand, and processed snacks.

Similarly, Alia, Sara, and Hrithik’s dietary confessions are paired with the unhealthy foods that they have promoted. It is also seen that Anany Panday was seen confessing that her hands would shake while lighting a cigarette during the shoot of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, however, the clip shifts to her happily smoking at her cousin Alanna Panday's mehendi ceremony.

Taking a dig at the celebrities and calling out their hypocrisy, Nitin is heard saying, “Do not take life and nutrition advice from actors. They are not the person who you should look up to. They are just as flawed as you or me. With no morals and values. They will not eat tobacco but will ask you to eat it. They will not consume poison but will ask you to do it. They do not risk their money into betting but will ask you to do it. Did you get it?”

It is safe to say that the video has gone viral on all social media platforms leaving fans shocked. Sharing the video on X (formerly known as Twitter), a netizen wrote, “It's become increasingly clear that celebrities are ready to endorse virtually anything for a substantial fee, showing a complete lack of ethical consideration. The discrepancy between what they promote and what they actually use in their personal lives is glaring. It's baffling why these individuals command such a following. Perhaps the real issue lies with us, the average individuals, who continue to idolize and trust these figures without question.”
