Johnny Depp has donated nearly $800,000 from NFT sales to charities including the one to which Amber Heard had pledged to donate $7 million divorce settlement to charity.

Yes, you read that right!

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor continues to set things right after his life and career were reportedly devastated by the accusations hurled at him by the Aquaman actress.

According to the latest reports, Depp launched his first NFT collection titled ‘Never Fear Truth’ earlier this year before he and Heard began their defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia.

During the 6-week-long trial, Heard’s inability to donate $7 million from her divorce settlement with Depp to two charities - The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) - had emerged in the court. While the 36-year-old actor donated some money, Amber claimed that she was unable to pay the full amount due to ongoing legal issues with Depp.

The actress was grilled about the donation by Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, during cross-examination, and said: "So as of today, you have not donated—paid—$7 million of your divorce settlement to charity, right?"

To which Heard conceded: "I have not been able to fulfil those obligations yet."

Coming back to the subject of Depp’s NFTs, the 59-year-old actor’s company announced this week that it was donating thousands from its sales to four charities, including The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

In a statement to RadarOnline, ‘Never Fear Truth’ said: "We are pleased to be able to confirm that nearly $800,000 (£667,000) in total donations.”

Furthermore, Never Fear Truth describes Depp's art as 'an important outlet for his creativity', and explains it exists at the intersection of 'Pop Art' and 'Street Art’.

"Recognisable images of people in popular culture are recast in vibrant, bright colours; and overlayed with the energy and wit of Street Art. The result is a series of iconic images of media figures that have moved beyond the impersonal graphic simplicity of Pop Art. It's Pop Art with feeling," the site explains.

According to the latest reports, the other charities receiving include Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and The Footprint Coalition.

When Heard pledged to donate her divorce settlement money to charity, she explained she wanted to give money to the hospital after having worked 'as a volunteer for the past 10 years'.
