Joe Biden has become the 46th President of the United States. He is the new POTUS defeating Donald Trump in the elections. Kamala Harris has become the new Vice President of the United States. As the oath taking ceremony of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris unfolded in America, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to extend his congratulations. He also spoke about the US-India partnership in his tweet. 

Narendra Modi wrote, "My warmest congratulations to @JoeBiden on his assumption of office as President of the United States of America. I look forward to working with him to strengthen India-US strategic partnership." While his next tweet read, "My best wishes for a successful term in leading USA as we stand united and resilient in addressing common challenges and advancing global peace and security." 

In his last tweet, PM Narendra Modi wished to take India-US partnership to greater heights by working with Joe Biden. "The India-US partnership is based on shared values. We have a substantial and multifaceted bilateral agenda, growing economic engagement and vibrant people to people linkages. Committed to working with President @JoeBiden to take the India-US partnership to even greater heights," read his tweet. 


Others like Kunal Kohli, Swara Bhasker, Pooja Bhatt and many more also took to Twitter to congratulate President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. 

At the ceremony, Joe Biden said, "Here we stand days after a riotous mob thought they could silence the will of the people. It will not happen, not today, not tomorrow, not ever — not ever."
