Political Analyst Tehseen Poonawalla shot to fame after his recent stint in Bigg Boss 13, and while his stay at the BB house was short, he gained a lot of popularity within that time. He is very active on his social media, sharing his political views and putting forth his points in political debates. Last night, a group of masked men and women, allegedly associated with ABVP, armed with sticks, rods and acid, unleashed terror and violence on the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), in Delhi. Tehseen Poonawalla rushed to the aide of the injured after he got SOS calls.

Tehseen Poonawalla arrived at JNU last night to help the injured along with lawyers and doctors. When he arrived, he was welcomed by ‘Go back’ slogans by the mob. In the interview with NDTV, Tehseen claimed that he rushed to help the injured after he got SOS calls and messages. He arrived with lawyers and doctors. He also noticed that the streetlights were shut off and he questioned why they would be shut off in the case of mob violence. He also said that he saw politician-activist Yogendra Yadav being heckled, and as soon as the crowd saw him with lawyers and medical help, the mob started heckling them too. He claimed that the mob surrounded him and asked him to leave, and while he saw the cops around, nobody intervened.  After the horrific violence outside JNU, a few Bollywood celebs such as Swara Bhasker, Riteish Deshmukh, Richa Chhada, Genelia D’sSouza, Rajkummar Rao came out and expressed their concern and disappointment on their social media handles.
