The D23 Expo of 2019 was held on Friday. It saw the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe reunite and have a gala time. Of course, the best part of it came in the form of selfies and pictures. However, our favourite one is that of Robert Downey Jr and Jon Favreau. The director and actor took to his Twitter to put up a picture with Robert Downey Jr aka Iron Man and we can't get any happier.
While sharing the picture he just wrote #D23 in the caption. But it is one iconic selfie that needs no caption. For those who don't know, Happy Hogan was Iron Man's personal chauffeur, bodyguard, and trainer. Iron Man owes a lot of Happy Hogan who played a pivotal role in making Iron Man, a success. Jon was the director of the first Iron Man too.
At the D23 Expo 2019, Robert Downey Jr was honoured as the Disney Legend. In the iconic speech that he delivered at the event, he said, "This is beautiful. I had a feeling that today will be beautiful. I'm delighted to be among such a rich and diverse group of humans, all seeking to reflect the many challenges of life through the lens of creative expression." The crowd was more than happy to have Iron Man on stage and they couldn't stop chanting 'We Love You 3000' for their beloved Iron Man.
"For my part, playing Tony over many years, the thematic idea that technology can guide our species towards enlightenment or destruction, it's been a really worthwhile and ongoing meditation. Honestly, it's been a great gift," he added in his speech.
Tony Stark aka Iron Man, unfortunately, dies in Avengers: Endgame saving the universe. But he'll be a legend always.
