The biggest cricket league in the world is finally back after a wait of more than 6 months. Indian Premier League (IPL) kick starts on 19th September, i.e., tomorrow in UAE. BCCI had to take the government’s permission and take the tournament out of the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic across the country. It was originally supposed to be held on March 29, which then got postponed. The first match will involve the defending champions Mumbai Indian taking on MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, who have been 3-time champions before, at Abu Dhabi. The other venues where IPL matches will be held are Dubai and Sharjah.
The schedule starts on the 19th of September and goes up to November 10, when the final will be held. There is a lot of excitement among fans as the Indian Premier League is all set to commence from tomorrow. IPL 2020 will start on September 19, and end on November 10. Below are the start timings of afternoon and evening games.
Afternoon games - 3:30 pm IST & 2 pm UAE time
Evening games - 7:30 pm IST and 6 pm UAE time
Live TV Broadcast in India will be available on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2 and Star Sports 1 Hindi; whereas IPL 2020 can also be streamed online live on Disney+ Hotstar.
Out of all the matches, 24 will be held in Dubai’s Dubai International Stadium, while 20 will be played at Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Stadium. 12 matches will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
