Last week, Chennai Super Kings player Suresh Rain returned to India from Dubai, due to personal reasons. Later reports suggested Suresh Raina’s uncle passed away while his aunt is in critical condition after a violent attack on them in Pathankot. Suresh Raina will not be seen in the entire IPL 2020 tournament. However, another set of reports stated that Raina was unhappy with the hotel room he was given. An Outlook report stated Raina had found the rooms of the bio-bubble claustrophobic and wanted a room with a balcony like the captain, MS Dhoni. But now Suresh Raina has broken his silence on the rumours.
During his recent chat with NDTV, when he was asked to clear the online conjectures, Raina said, “It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately at the home front and CSK is my family too and Mahi Bhai is most important to me and this was a tough decision but with the family back home, I had to come back for them.”
Addressing the rumours, Suresh told NDTV, “These are all fabricated stories and anyone who knows me, knows that these are all stories planted by people who don't want me or CSK to succeed.” Speaking about the same to Cricbuzz, Raina said, “CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is very important to me and this was a tough decision. There is no issue between CSK and me.”
