It was recently that cricketers flew to Dubai, to begin with the practice sessions of the next season of the Indian Premier League. MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and all the other players traveled to Dubai and were looking forward to getting back to the pitch. However, Captain Dhoni's team Chennai Super Kings has been hit with a roadblock. Reportedly, a few members of CSK have tested positive for Coronavirus, following which, the entire team has been put under quarantine.
As per a report in Times Of India, the cricketers had to observe six days mandatory quarantine on arrival in Dubai. And the COVID-19 tests were to be carried out on days 1, 3 and 6. Now, that a few members of CSK are Coronavirus positive, it will take some time for the cricketers to begin with their practice sessions. A source was quoted saying by the portal, "Even when football started in Europe, a few players had tested positive. So with eight IPL teams and over 1000 members, this was a possibility. This could have happened to any team. It is just unlucky that it has happened to CSK despite taking all kinds of precautions."
Further, a report in NDTV reveals that a fast bowler, a few staff members of CSK have tested positive for Coronavirus. Team CSK was supposed to start practicing today, but they have been put under quarantine.
