Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 94th birthday on April 21, 2020. Wishes poured in from all corners. The official Instagram account of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, too posted a picture to wish the Queen. The picture was that of the couple posing with Queen Elizabeth. However, one wondered why did the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince William and Meghan Markle post nothing on social media to wish her. Well, we know why.
When Meghan and Prince Harry resigned from their royal duties, they suspended their official @sussexroyal account on Instagram. Though they promised to reconnect soon with all, the couple did not get a chance to come up with their new Instagram account. Amidst all the shifting from Canada to the US and later, the outbreak of Coronavirus, Meghan and Prince Harry could not focus on their social media presence.
Though Meghan and Prince Harry did not post a special message for Queen on her birthday, reportedly they did have a video chat with her. According to a report in Bazaar.com, Harry, Meghan and their son Archie wished the Queen on a video call. Due to the lockdown imposed, Queen Elizabeth's birthday couldn't be a big event.
