Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Guruparab is celebrated all over India and also several parts of the world and it marks the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev. This year marks the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. It is an auspicious occasion for Sikhs all over the world and right from the morning, Bollywood celebrities and famous personalities have extended greetings of Guru Nanak Jayanti to their fans. Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cricketer Virat Kohli took to their social media handles and sent out Gurupurab greetings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote, “Today, on the very special occasion of the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, my greetings to everyone. This is a day to rededicate ourselves to fulfilling Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s dream of a just, inclusive and harmonious society.”  Indian skipper Virat Kohli shared a video to wish his fans with the caption, “Happy gurpurab to everyone .” The video shows Virat Kohli saying, “Sat Sri Akaal ji a big hello to everyone. Wanna wish everyone a very happy  Gurupurab. May Waheguru ji bring peace and happiness into your lives and bless all of you". In other news, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor just met his fans in Ulhasnagar and celebrated the special day of Guru Nanak Jayanti with them. The actor was swarmed by his fans as he waved at them from the sunroof of his car.
