7 crore employees and subscribers of ‘Employees’ Provident Fund Organization’ (EPFO) are likely to witness great news by the end of this month! The government will reportedly transfer the interest for the financial year 2022 to the account of EPF account holders.
Notably, this time the interest will be available at the rate of 8.1 per cent. As per the reports, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has calculated the interest received in the PF account in the financial year 2022. The amount will be soon transferred to the account of the subscribers.
The reports also suggest that a total of Rs 72,000 crore deposited in the account of the government will be sent to the account of the employed.
MONEY TRANSFER DATE:
Notably, last year subscribers of EPF had to wait for 6-8 months for the interest, owing to COVID-19. This year the government has a different plan of action and it does not plan on delaying the process. Reportedly, interest money can be transferred to the account by the end of this month. This year’s interest is at the lowest level in 40 years.
