Veteran Marathi actor and Gashmeer Mahajani’s father, Ravindra Mahajani has left for his heavenly abode at the age of 77. According to the reports by the Times Of India he breathed his last in his rented apartment at the Ambi village in Maval taluka near Talegaon Dabhade, on the outskirts of Pune. As per the officials his body was found three days after he had passed away.
The media publication states that his neighbours had contacted the police on Friday after they had complained of a foul smell coming from his flat. Soon the door of his apartment was broken by the officials, who found him dead. Ranjit Sawant of Talegaon MIDC police told TOI that his mortal remains have been sent for an autopsy to a hospital for postmortem to confirm the cause of his death.
The reports further state that the veteran actor had been staying alone in his apartment for the past eight months. The investigation into Mahajani's untimely demise is still ongoing.
For the unversed, Ravindra had made his debut as an actor with the movie Saat Hindustani (1969). He was considered as one of the most handsome actors of his time. He went on to make a name for himself with movies like Mumbaicha Faujdar, Aram Haram Ahe, Zoonj, Bolo He Chakradhari and many more. He was last seen in Arjun Kapoor-Kriti Sanon starrer Panipat (2019).
His son Gashmeer Mahajani too is an actor, who has been a part of movies like Muskurake Dekh Zara, Deool Band, Mala Kahich Problem Nahi and Dharmaveer. Not only has he participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but he has essayed lead roles in televisions serials like Imlie and Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.
