Sad news for 2020 doesn’t seem to end! President of India Pranab Mukherjee passed away. A couple of days back, the veteran politician tested positive for Coronavirus following which he was shifted to the Army Hospital for the medical treatment of the same. The former President Of India reportedly underwent surgery for a blood clot in the brain. However it is being said, Mukherjee’s health deteriorated today morning and he suffered a septic shock due to his lung infection, reports The Wire.
Informing about the same, his son Abhijit Mukherjee took to announcing the sam. He Tweeted, “With a Heavy Heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers ,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India! I thank all of You.”
Soon after the news of Mukherjee’s sad demise was shared by his son on social media, who's who of Political, cricketer, entertainment fraternity took to Twitter to pay tribute and offer condolences to the ex-president.

In a series of Tweets, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “India grieves the passing away of Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee. He has left an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation.
