The farmers’ protest has been going on for a few months now and there has been no concrete decision as yet between the government and the farmers who have been protesting against the Centre’s three farm laws. Social media has been abuzz with various views on this and has been divided. Various celebrities have expressed their opinions on Twitter and other social media platforms. Recently celebrities like Rihanna, Greta Thunberg, Amanda Cerny, Lilly Singh, Jay Sean tweeted in support of the farmers and their protest which caused a huge uproar in the Indian community.

Post that, cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and others as well as Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn, etc. extended their support to stay united against ‘propaganda’ and shared tweets with the hashtag #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. Cricketer Irfan Pathan on the other hand appears to have taken a veiled dig at those tweeting with the hashtag, while also speaking about how our country rightly expressed their grief when George Floyd was murdered in the USA last year.
