Coronavirus is rapidly growing with each passing day creating a panic like situation all over the globe. Malls, theatres, auditoriums, etc. are getting shut down due to the outbreak of Covid-19. In fact, several Bollywood movies and Indian Cricket T20 tournament IPL - Indian Premier League have been postponed. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Covid-19 outbreak a pandemic and India currently has close to 93 confirmed cases. With so much going on in the world, coronavirus has now affected Buckingham Palace as well.

According to the reports in The Sun, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have reportedly left Buckingham Palace and taken to Windsor Castle on Thursday due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the U.K. Buckingham Palace. As per the reports, the changes will be made to the queen's schedule after discussions with the U.K. the government since there have been more than 1,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 21 deaths in the U.K.

Reports state that the Queen was chauffeured to Windsor. A royal source was quoted saying to the portal, “She is in good health but it was thought best to move her. A lot of her staff are a bit panicky over coronavirus. The Palace hosts a constant stream of visitors including politicians and dignitaries from around the world. The Queen has met a lot of people there until recently.

"But she is weeks away from her 94th birthday and advisers believe it is best to get her out of harm’s way. Buckingham Palace is in the middle of London and also has a bigger staff than other estates so is deemed a much more dangerous location. There have been no specific scares or positive tests there yet but no one wants to take any chances,” the source further quoted. The Queen’s court could also be moved permanently during the crisis.

Meanwhile, at the 2020 Prince's Trust Awards on Wednesday, Prince Charles also opted to greet the guests with a Namaste instead of his royal handshakes due to coronavirus scare. He continued using the greeting during an investiture ceremony.
