The coronavirus scare has brought the entire country on a standstill. Unfortunately, India itself has recorded more than 80 cases so far in places like Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, and Ladakh among others. Only yesterday, the Chief Minister of Delhi – Arvind Kejriwal – announced the shutdown of schools and theatres across the capital city until 31st March for public safety. Now, following the suit is Maharashtra’s CM Uddhav Thackeray, who, in his recent announcement, ordered a shutdown of theatres, gyms, auditoriums and swimming pools all over Mumbai and other parts due to the coronavirus scare.
(Gyms, cinema halls, malls and public swimming pools in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane will remain closed until further notice)”
The shutdown is expected to continue until further notice, in order to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

While this was a much-needed decision, considering the ongoing situation, one can’t deny the fact that it will turn out to be a huge monetary loss for a lot of businesses, especially the Indian film industry. And that with a line of biggies slated to release in the upcoming weeks. Now, all we can do is hope that things don’t escalate any further.
