This year is about to take an end and 2021 is all set to knock the doors. When a new year approaches, it brings many fresh plans and happy beginnings which directly and indirectly impact our personal and professional lives. So, it is immensely important to plan our financial aspects in the coming year. Therefore, keeping an eye on banking sectors and staying aware of bank holidays will help us plan the upcoming year well. Also, it will help to avoid last-minute harassments and delays too. 

According to the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in 2021, banks will be shut for more than 40 days. Every month, the first and fourth Saturdays all banks will remain closed. Also, you must know that the bank holidays depend on which state the bank is residing. In India, there are various types of holidays. Be it restricted holidays or gazetted ones, these will be applicable in all the banks throughout the country. These holidays will include Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti certainly. Other than that, there will be festive holidays and religious ones too which  include Dussehra, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Good Friday etc.
