They are Hindu citizens of Bangladesh & not Indians. Hindu kahne mein kaahe ki sharam. Yes we must get them back under d provisions of CAA.” Another wrote, “Fellow Indians? How are Bangladeshi Hindus Indians? It takes courage to write and address Hindus who are facing religious persecution there. Unfortunately, courage does not come free with abs.”
For those who don’t know, the ongoing Bangladesh riots started after the Government there reportedly introduced a new quota system, which awarded the descendants of the “freedom fighters,” who “liberated Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971” according to a report by Aljazeera, around 30% of highly coveted government jobs. This led to violent clashes in the country. On Monday, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, resigned from her post and fled to London via India, as per recent reports.
