Former MD and co-founder of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover is returning to television with the new season of MTV’s show Roadies 19. The makers released a new promo, featuring gang leaders, host Sonu Sood and Ashneer. His presence in the video left fans surprised. A certain section of people mocked and trolled the entrepreneur for joining the reality show, calling Ashneer ‘dogla.’ Grover would be joining the gang leaders for a special round.

Sharing the exciting promo on Instagram, the channel wrote, “Ab tak toh bas tumne suni hai karm ya kaand ki baatein, ab dekhoge bhi. Ready ho for the mahayudh? MTV Roadies - Karm Ya Kaand, co-powered by @wildstoneofficial , starts from 3rd June, every Sat & Sun at 7PM only on MTV & JioCinema.” In the promo, gang leaders Prince Narula, Rhea Chakraborty, and Gautam Gulati were seen being engaged in an intense bidding war for contestants. Soon after the video hit online, netizens started calling out the former Shark Tank India for appearing on the show. One user wrote, “Ashneer Grover in Roadies. Kya chalra hai, kya kar rahe ho?.” Another said, “Within a year, Ashneer Grover went from being a Co Founder at 3 Billion Dollar Company to a judge at Shark Tank to being a gang leader at Roadies.” A third user wrote, “@ashneer.grover sir kis line m aa gye aap.”

For the unversed, Ashneer Grover rose to fame with his stint on Shark Tank India season 1 and became a popular household name. However, he got replaced by Amit Jain-CEO and CoFounder of CarDekho, on the second season of the show.
