Shark Tank India season 1 fame and co-founder of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover became a fan favourite after his appearance on the business reality show. His outspoken personality and unapologetic comments on the show as well as on his official social media handles. He has never once shied away from expressing his views unabashedly. While many have praised him for it, it also makes him a subject to trolling for not caring about others. He found himself in the midst of yet another controversy after comedian Aashish Solanki deleted one of his roast videos, where he cracked a joke on Grover.
Soon, the video was taken down and Aashish, in a heartfelt note apologised to his fans. He stated through his note that the 5th episode of his show Pretty Good Roast has been taken down as he doesn’t have the money to fight a legal battle, whatever money he had, was spent on the show. He went on to add that the thunderous response his previous episodes received had led him to believe that the audience was ready for roast humour. However, as per him, “those in power” are not quite there yet. He urged the fans to continue to support the upcoming episodes of the show.

The entire incident left the netizens enraged as many brutally trolled Ashneer Grover for not being able to take a joke and slammed him. One wrote, “Meet the so-called, self-proclaimed coolest guy in the universe, the ‘Doglapan’ guy, who went on ‘The Roast Show’. He got roasted so badly that he threatened to file a legal case if the show was released. Bhai gaya hi kyu jab jhela nahi jata to. (sic)”
Talking about Ashneer, he co-founded the brand BharatPe in 2018. He had also gone on to invest in many start-ups. However, it all came crashing down when his company alleged he and his wife Madhuri Jain of misusing the company funds and they were stripped of their positions. Apart from being a part of Roadies, he had gone on to publish his own book Doglapan.
