Superstar Rajnikanth resumed work a few days back. After a long break due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the superstar recently started working on his upcoming film titled Annaatthe. The shooting of the film had started before the pandemic hit but was stalled later due to the lockdown. Reports in a tabloid stated that the shoot of Annaatthe began at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Filmcity. According to the latest reports, the shoot of the movie is suspended because 8 members of the crew tested positive for COVID-19.
Republic reported that the shooting schedule of Rajnikanth’s Annaatthe has been brought to a standstill. The report stated that a total of 8 members of the film crew tested positive for the deadly virus. Amidst the Coronavirus scare from the film set, as per the report, Rajnikanth also underwent a test to ensure he’s safe. The report stated that the actor has tested negative for COVID-19. And, he has not contracted the virus.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the cast and crew of Rajnikanth’s film have resumed shoot recently ensuring all safety protocols. The report stated that the shoot wasn’t resumed amidst the pandemic considering the superstar’s age. As per the report, after the film kick-started shooting, the makers ensured that strict bio-bubble protocols were followed, as they opted for an indoor shoot. The schedule was the film’s last one, spanning over 45 days.
Meanwhile, the film also stars Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh. Nayanthara will essay the role of Rajnikanth’s wife, while Suresh will play his sister. The makers of the film are planning to wrap the schedule in January 2021, and release it by April 2021, said the report. Annaatthe will be Rajnikanth’s last film before his political venture. The superstar who turned 70 recently revealed that he will be making a full-time entry into politics. Thalaiva was last seen in the film Darbar. And, he won hearts with his stellar performance.
