Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are all set to tie the knot this weekend, with their wedding week kicking off with a vibrant haldi ceremony. The event, as expected, was a star-studded affair attended by numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Ananya Panday, among others. Salman Khan made a striking entrance in an all-black traditional outfit, which he soon changed to a yellow kurta to match the festive occasion. Always engaging, he greeted the paparazzi, who called him “Sikandar,” a nod to his upcoming action film directed by AR Murugadoss. Ranveer Singh, another highlight of the event, arrived wearing a yellow kurta and palazzo pyjamas. He was warmly welcomed with paan, which he enjoyed and complimented the waiters for. Covered in haldi from head to toe by the end of the ceremony, Ranveer cheerfully waved to the paparazzi from his black SUV before driving off. Janhvi Kapoor graced the event in a yellow saree and matching blouse, accompanied by her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya's brother, Veer Pahariya. Veer donned a light mauve kurta and half jacket, accessorized with a golden elephant brooch and a black pocket square. The pair were seen tending to Janhvi's father, producer Boney Kapoor, who was dressed in a light yellow kurta-pyjama. Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday also made a notable appearance, posing together for photographers. Sara wore a multicolored crop top and lehenga, accessorized with matching jewelry and a potli bag, while Ananya opted for a light pink gown with a golden border dupatta, completing her look with a bun adorned with a gajra and golden danglers.
Other celebrities in attendance included Manushi Chhillar, Rahul Vaidya, Disha Parmar, Orhan Awatramani (Orry), filmmaker Atlee, and veteran actor Tina Ambani, who is Anant's aunt, accompanied by her husband, industrialist Anil Ambani. The wedding festivities are meticulously planned, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the Shubh Vivah or wedding function. Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Indian attire to embrace the spirit of the occasion. Celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, followed by Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception on Sunday, July 14.
Earlier, on July 5, the Ambani family hosted a Sangeet Ceremony featuring a constellation of celebrities, including a performance by global pop sensation Justin Bieber. This event was preceded by a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar earlier this year, attended by a star-studded guest list from around the globe. The upcoming wedding promises to be an equally grand affair, continuing the trend of lavish celebrations that the Ambani family is known for.
