The YouTubers Vs TikTokers controversy has led to a social media storm between fans. Since days now, #BanTikTok has been trending on social media after YouTuber CarryMinati’s aka Ajey Nagar’s video was pulled down from the video-sharing app. Soon later, many social media users pointed out videos made by TikToker Faizal Siddiqui that promoted rape and acid attack against women through their videos. Then, TikToker Faisal Shaikh marked his debut on YouTube and got bashed by CarryMinati’s fans. Now, amidst all the controversy between TikTokers and YouTubers, an official complaint has been filed against TikTok star Faisal Shaikh for depicting violence against women.
Taking to Twitter, complainant Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh shared a picture and tweeted, “The @mscw_bandra has taken cognizance on my Complaint, please initiate action at the earliest and punish the culprit @Mr_Faisu_07 for spreading crime against woman @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice @NCWIndia @sharmarekha @IdzesKundan @woman @AshishMerkhed @Mohsinshaikh_1.”
According to the picture shared by complainant Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, the letter received mentioned that TikToker Faisal Shaikh has made two videos that are depicting violence against women. The complainant mentioned that in one video made by Faisal, the TikTok star is spotted kicking a woman on her butt and in the other video, he is seen grabbing another girl’s face and laughing with another TikToker behind her.
