For those who don’t know, the ongoing Bangladesh riots started after the Government there reportedly introduced a new quota system, which awarded the descendants of the “freedom fighters,” who “liberated Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971,” around 30% of the highly-coveted government jobs, according to a report by Aljazeera. This led to violent clashes in the country.

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, resigned from her post and fled to London via India, as per recent reports. Videos and photos of the vandals destroying public property and stealing goods from her bungalow are going viral on social media. Post the incidents many videos surfaced of Bangladeshi Hindu houses, businesses, and temples being vandalized.

On the work front, Adil Hussain was last seen in Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the spy-thriller was released on the big screens on August 2, 2024.
