Activists Want Superstar Rajinikanth Arrested For Shooting In A Tiger Reserve For ‘Into The Wild With Bear Grylls’

Recently, the news of South superstar Rajinikanth featuring in an episode of ‘Into The Wild with Bear Grylls’ had got his fans super excited. There was a lot of buzz about it and this episode had been shot in Karnataka’s Bandipur Tiger Reserve. We have earlier seen many famous personalities and public figures tagging along with Bear Grylls, and after PM Narendra Modi, the next person to go out on an adventure with Grylls was Rajinikanth. However, the latest reports doing the rounds on the Internet state that activists have now demanded Rajinikanth’s arrest.

As per the report in Times Of India, there has been a row about the shoot, with activists addressing the fears about the crew’s presence on the animals present in the reserve.  Shooting for the episode at Karnataka’s Bandipur Tiger Reserve, a protected forest area, didn’t go down well with activists who demanded the superstar's arrest for the same. They reportedly alleged that the crew’s presence in the forest area could endanger the animals and also ignite forest fires that could spread wildly because of dry weather conditions. According to the report in TOI, an activist Joseph Hoover also stated that they could have shot for the episode during the monsoons. Meanwhile, after shooting for the episode with Bear Grylls, South superstar Rajinikanth took to his social media and thanked Grylls for an unforgettable experience. He wrote, “Thank you very much dear @BearGrylls for an unforgettable experience ... love you. @DiscoveryIN thank you #IntoTheWildWithBearGrylls.”
