Football is quite an unpredictable game! Argentina’s shocking defeat against Saudi Arabia at the FIFA World Cup 2022 has raised eyebrows across the globe. While the Argentinian side continues to process the reasons for the appalling defeat, all the criticism is being directed towards football star and the national team’s captain Lionel Messi.

Saudi Arabia's audacious gameplay on Tuesday, November 2022, against one of the top 4 teams in FIFA has scripted history. Interestingly, their performance against the two-time winners Argentina at the FIFA World Cup 2022 is being applauded and the nation is currently enjoying November 23 as a public holiday after the grand win.

For the unversed, the underdogs registered a triumph over Lionel Messi-led Argentina. While the first half of the game was dominated by Argentina, Saudi backfired their plans of an obvious win by scoring 2 goals in merely 6 minutes. Salem Al-Dawsari scored a screamer amid raving Saudi fans and celebrations ensued.

However, things do not seem to be going so well for Lionel Messi, who is considered a G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time).

The Argentinian captain is being trolled by Saudi fans and it just seems to be getting worst for the Argentinian national team.

Saudi Arabia’s victory in their first match has called for more celebrations as it is their fourth-ever win at the World Cup. “One for the books,” Saudi Arabia coach Hervé Renard said. “This is football. Sometimes things are completely crazy.”

He further added, “All the stars aligned for us.”

Hervé Renard won the AFCON as the boss of Zambia in 2012 and in charge of Ivory Coast in 2015. “We made history for Saudi football," Renard said. “It will stay forever. This is the most important. But we also need to think about looking forward because we still have two games that are very very difficult for us.”

Following the spectacular gameplay, Saudi Arabia currently tops Group C which also includes the likes of Mexico and Poland.
