Tell us something about your background and career journey
My hometown is in Delhi. On being offered a suiting advertisement I came to Mumbai and got into modelling. Acting was the next obvious step.

From modelling to producing TV shows, how did this happen?  Didn’t you think of a career in acting?
I shot for every possible brand and was saturated after four years. Then we did many International launch events for Porsche 968, Estee Lauders Pleasure &  Zee TV and that's how we decided to get into production. My wife was a leading choreographer and I had also done films such as Gunaah, Vishwatma and Badal among others.

What have been the landmark shows in your career as a producer?
Our landmark shows would be Family No.1, Papa Ban Gaye Hero, F.I.R, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain, May I Come In Madam, Jijaji Chhat Par Hai and Mere Apne.

Your current two shows Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain and Jijaji Chhat Par Hai are quite unique. How did you think of such subjects?
They are all north-based shows. I am from north Delhi and so is my team. This is why these shows came very easily to us. Jijaji Chhat Par Hai was an idea, which we had 5-6 years back. Last October, we got the time to start working on it. We started writing and selecting characters. My team is my strength.
