Week 43 (October 21-
October 27) was a mixed bag for Colors as far as TV ratings are concerned.
While the channel continues to rule the roost thanks to Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 2
and Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which clinched the 1st and the 2nd spot
respectively, its other hyped show, Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 10, failed to
make it to the list of the top 10 shows. So much so, the show dropped to number
19 in the said week. Yes, BELIEVE it!

For those who’ve come in late, Bigg Boss 10 had kickstarted on a good note in week 42 (October 14 – October 20), acquiring the 7th position. However, looks like neither Salman’s star power nor the constant clashes between celebs and commoners have managed to grab eyeballs. It’s high time that Colors comes up with a ‘Nayi Soch’ considering its roast show Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza has failed to impress audiences (Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza Goes Quickly Stale, Colors Needs Nayi Soch, Oct 27).

Meanwhile, Star Plus’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya remained constant at number 3 and 4 respectively. Complex love stories tend to strike a chord with the audiences, isn’t it?

Further, Sony has a reason to smile as its comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show made a thumping re-entry into the top 10 shows. In week 43, the Kapil Sharma hosted show stood at number 7. The appearance of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s team – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma – seems to have reduced the show’s ‘mushkil’.

Saturday’s episode (October 22) had the 3 stars in attendance, while Sunday’s (October 23) episode, which featured only Ranbir and Anushka, had the audience in splits courtesy the duo’s crackling chemistry.
Another surprise entry into the top 10 shows is Star Plus show Siya Ke Ram. The ongoing track of Luv-Kush finally finding out that Ram is their father has piqued the audience’s interest.
