For the fifth consecutive week -- Week 40 (September 30-October 6) -- Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 was the most-watched show on Indian television. From the looks of it, the iconic quiz show has cemented its position on the leader board and in audience’s hearts.

While this one continued to be a family favourite, two other reality shows made it to the Top 10 in their first week. To begin with, Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss clinched the number 4 spot. The controversial show is in its 11th season and has several controversial names such as Shilpa Shinde, Zubair Khan, Hina Khan and Arshi Khan among others as contestants.

In fact, it has already begun grabbing eyeballs for arguments in the house and most recently, Zubair Khan filing a police complaint against Salman for insulting him on national television. Looking at how Bigg Boss usually progresses, we wouldn’t be surprised if it retains a spot in the Top 5.
