Week 51 (December
16-22) threw up rather interesting results on the leader board. To begin with,
Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein clinched the No.1 spot. Goes without
saying, the track of Divyanka Tripathi’s death worked wonders for the show
and the TRPs went racing.
You may recall
that in Week 48 (November 25- December 1), Yeh Hai Mohabbatein suffered a blow
when it slipped from No. 4 to 9.
And look how the
tables have turned in a matter of 3 weeks. Kudos, Team YHM!
The heightened
ratings of the family drama had a direct impact on other popular shows.
Kundali Bhagya
acquired the second spot in the week in question. Kumkum Bhagya, which has been
the second most-watched show for weeks now, slipped to No. 4.
However, Taarak
Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah seemed to be unaffected with the changes and retained
its position at No.3.

Bigg Boss 11
Weekend Ka Vaar too dropped from No.4 in Week 50 (December
9-15) to No.5.

Furthermore,
another show which failed to lure audiences this week was Super Dancer 2. The
children’s reality show was performing well in the last couple of weeks,
however, missed a spot in the Top 5 this time.

Star Plus’ Yeh
Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai found a spot in Top 10 in Week 51 and stood at No.9.
Having said that, the show has been inconsistent for a while now and it’s high
time the makers weave in a twist to garner a loyal fan following.
