Week 11 (March 10-16) brought along two new entrants –
Ishq Subhan Allah and Ishq Mein Marjawan.
A Still From Ishq Subhan Allah
The former aired on March 14 on Zee TV and landed a spot
in the Top 10 in the first week. Ishq Subhan Allah tells the story of Kabeer
(Adnan Khan) and Zara (Eisha Singh), both devout followers of Islam, who happen
to interpret the Quran very differently. While Kabeer is a ‘maulvi’ (priest)
who abides by the widely followed, traditional moral ethical code of conduct,
Zara is a well-educated young woman who applies the teachings of Allah to a
logical, liberal way of life based on modern fundamentals of practicality,
rationality, gender equality, justice and fairness.
Ishq Mein Marjawan, which stars Arjun Bijlani, Alisha
Panwar and Vineet Raina in lead roles, has found acceptance from the audience
but it still hasn’t been able to cement its position in the coveted list. In
Week 11, it acquired the 10th spot.
