Starring Pranali Rathore, Harshad Chopra and Shreyansh Kaurav, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been running successfully for almost 15 years now. Having started the journey with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, the Rajan Shahi production is not only one of the most-watched shows in India but it also often tops the weekly BARC ratings. In the last few episodes, it was seen Manjiri emotionally manipulates into hating Akshara and Abhinav’s baby, so that Akshu can move on and marry Abhimanyu.
Today’s episode starts with Akshara walking and a nurse interrupts her by giving her the abortion form. As she goes to sign the papers she recalls everyone’s words, telling her that she should focus on Abhimanyu and Abhir, rather than give birth to Abhinav’s baby. The doctor interrupts her and asks her if she has brought anyone with her as the process can be very emotionally and physically draining. Abhimanyu, who has been sitting beside ABhir, comes to know that Akshara has taken the decision to abort the baby. He rushes towards the hospital, after informing Aarohi about it, to stop her as he knows that she will later regret the decision. Akshara starts crying and apologising to her baby, once her doctor informs her that it's time for her procedure. Manisha and Muskan start worrying about Akshara, as they wait for her to return. As Abhimanyu brings Akshara out, Manish asks her if she went through with the abortion. Akshara says No. In the flashback, it is seen that after many hurdles, Abhimanyu reaches the hospital and stops Akshara. He scolds her and asks if she is fine. She bursts out crying. She expresses how she cannot go through the abortion and can’t lose the baby. She tells him how he was the reason that she is strong today. Back at the Birla mansion, Manjiri and Abhimanyu's photo falls down and the former observes the cracks in the photo frame. Abhimanyu comments on their broken relationship and lashes out at his mother for forcing Akshara to make such kind of decision. He goes on to state that if she had gone through with the abortion, she would have never happy with the decision, which would have led to Abhir and him being unhappy. The next morning as Manjiri is trying to fix the broken photo frame, Abhimanyu announces that he will be leaving the house. He explains how he doesn’t want to stress anyone anymore as Abhir’s health is weak and Akshara is pregnant. Abhimanyu takes everyone’s blessings and leaves.
In the upcoming episode, it will be seen that Abhimanyu proposes to Akshara. Abhir gets very happy knowing that his parents are getting married. Aarohi informs Manjiri and Mahima that Abhimanyu and Akshara will be tying the knot in court.
