In the last few episodes of the show, it was seen that the Birla and Goenka families come together for Janmashtami celebrations.
In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai it will be seen that worried Akshara is still angry at him, Abhimanyu makes a plan to lose in the dahi handi competition so that she can smile. Everyone gets ready for the competition and Abhimanyu makes sure that Akshara wins. Soon Abhimanyu realises he has lost his necklace. While this is going on, Abhir informs Ruhi and goes to the washroom and on the other hand Manjiri goes to find the first aid box to apply a spray on her aching shoulder. As everyone is busy celebrating Akshara’s win, the meter box explodes and fire starts spreading. Manjiri and Abhir get trapped in the burning building along with a few people, unable to get out. Worried, Akshara and Abhimanyu start searching for Manjiri and Abhir when they realise that there is fire behind the pandal. First they shift the Radha Krishna idols. They hear a noise which leads them to Abhir, who they save just in time. After making sure that their son is okay, the ex-couple starts looking for Manjiri. In the upcoming episode of the serial, it will be seen that Akshara and Abhimanyu successfully save Manjiri. While they are at the hospital it is revealed that Abhimanyu saves some people before Manjiri, which leads to everyone blaming him for her condition. If reports are to be believed, Manjiri’s health might significantly deteriorate, which would lead to her death. Before taking her last breath, she might express her last wish of wanting to see Abhimanyu and Akshara happily married, so that their family can be complete. It will be a waiting game to see how the future episodes of the show pan out.
