Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed 'King' of Bollywood, consistently captures the hearts of his fans with his striking looks, exceptional acting prowess, down-to-earth demeanour, and more. In terms of his professional journey, SRK made a triumphant return to the big screen in 2023, delivering three consecutive hits - Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki. Nevertheless, his television comeback took place back in 2017 when he hosted the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, marking his return to the small screen.

During a conversation titled 'The Making of a Star' at the World Government Summit in Dubai, the Indian cine star shared an intriguing anecdote when host Richard Quest inquired about his emotions witnessing contestants nearing a million on the show. The 58-year-old actor revealed that he genuinely wished for the contestants to win. Despite his desire to assist them, he couldn't, as the producers of KBC would admonish him.

SRK explained how the last questions of the show were particularly challenging, saying: "I genuinely hoped that they won. There were so many people coming from different parts of the country. There were times when I wanted to help them, but you know, you can’t! The producers would keep shouting in your ears, saying, ‘You can’t say this!’ ‘You have already said enough! The last four or two questions were really tough.”
For those unfamiliar, following his stint as the host of KBC, the Swades star was approached to portray a fictional host in the critically acclaimed film "Slumdog Millionaire," starring Dev Patel. However, after some time working on the project, Shah Rukh opted out, and Anil Kapoor took on the role.
