TV actress Donal Bisht, who has played the main lead in shows like Ek Deewana Tha And Roop-Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, is stressed these days. The actress belongs to Uttrakhand and has her roots from Chamoli which has been badly impacted by the floods which have hit the region.
The actress said, "I am really very upset and sad about it. I am from Chamoli and when I heard this, I got extremely disturbed. Not just this but earlier also when the Kedarnath incident happened in Uttarakhand, I was dejected. Thankfully due to the help of social media people started getting updates on the impacts it will cause. Although these natural calamities are beyond our control. Coming from that area, I have also experienced these land slides earlier which have been dangerous. I feel the people who stay in hills are fighters and they know how to tackle things and come out of calamities."
She added, "When I saw the videos when people were being rescued and they were singing those victory songs. Jo jazba hai Uttrakhand ke logo ka vo aisa hai. The glacier has melted down because of global warming. I was happy with the lockdown. Pandemic nahi hona chahiye tha but lockdown was a saviour. Uski wajah se kaafi chize behtar ho rahi thi with nature. I feel every year there should be a lockdown of some days to save enviorment. The river is close to my house where the floods have come. Thankfully my family is safe and I am praying for others also to be safe."
