Urvashi Dholakia shot to fame with her portrayal of Komolika in popular TV soap, Kasautii Zindagii Kay aired on Star Plus in the year 2001. Since then there was no looking back for the actress, but then she revealed of letting go of 15 shows after she won the TV reality show, Bigg Boss 6 in the year 2013. She revealed of taking a sabbatical for 2 long years from the industry to be with her sons Kshitij and Sagar who were in their late teens back.
Urvashi in conversation with Hindustan Times, said, “I took a two-year break after Bigg Boss 6 as I wanted to be with my boys in their late teens. I wanted to give them time. I rejected 15 shows in this period, but most of them weren’t good. I wanted them to turn 21 and then return to work. I am content in the space I am in right now.” Also she has been a single mother to these handsome boys from her very early age.
In conversation with Pinkvilla, the actress had also revealed of being depressed with her decision of sending her sons to boarding school and unable to spend time with them. However, this break of her after BB6 for 2 years helped her spend time with them.
She had said, “I did not see them grow but I am happy that I gave them time when they were back. I had to restart my work after a point and then I did Bigg Boss and that was the only time I was away from them. Then, I took a conscious decision of not wanting to work.
