‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the most popular and longest-running shows on Indian television. Of late, the comedy sitcom has been making headlines owing to actors quitting the show after years of playing the character. Recently, Shailesh Lodha, who played Taarak Mehta in the show, bid goodbye to TMKOC. His exit indeed came as a big shock to everyone. After his exit, producer Asit Kumarr Modi took a jibe at Shailesh saying that no matter what the show will go on.

Now it seems like Shailesh Lodha has hit back at Asit’s dig at him. On Tuesday, he posted a photo of a chameleon aka Girgit alongside a poem where he talked about how people change very fast like chameleons. Lodha also said that these days’ people who change color are not called chameleons, they are called human beings. Soon after he shared the post, many netizens felt that Shailesh’s post was directed toward Asit Kumarr. Shailesh Lodha will reportedly be seen hosting a new poetry show ‘Waah Bhai Waah.’

A few days ago, a video of Asit Modi talking about Shailesh's exit from the show went viral on social media. In the clip, the producer mentioned that some people wanted to leave the show simply because they didn't want to confine themselves to TMKOC and explore more options. Modi added that he and the whole team of the show will welcome if old Taarak Mehta wants to return or else they will look out for a new actor to play Taarak Mehta in the show.

‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ which premiered on 28 July 2008 on Sony SAB, holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running daily sitcom on television. The show features Dilip Joshi, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, Tanuj Mahashabde, Munmun Dutta and others.
