Actor Gurucharan Singh became a household name because of his portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He left his fans worried in April, this year when he suddenly disappeared without telling anyone anything. As the investigation into his disappearance started fans started speculating if he was kidnapped. Many even thought that he had committed suicide due to his growing debt. Now, in a recent interview, the actor revealed if he had been suicidal during his disappearance.
Talking to an entertainment portal, he opened up about his spiritual journey. When asked if he had ever faced suicidal thoughts, he dismissed the question by stating that he knew it was never an option. The 51-year-old actor also revealed that he left his family because he was hurt by his “near and dear ones.” Despite trying to get work, he constantly faced rejected which left him feeling demotivated.

Singh further revealed that he hadn’t disappeared because of his “inability to repay his loans” and financial debts. He said, “Karz toh mujhpar aaj bhi hai. Niyat meri acchi hai aur udhar lekar abhi tak mein credit card and EMIs ki payment kiye jaraha hoon.”
Having gone missing on April 22, 2024, the Delhi Police conducted an extensive search for the actor after his father filed an FIR for him. Gurucharan Singh returned home to Delhi on May 18. During his interrogation, it was revealed that he had left home to go on a religious journey. As per the officials he had visited Gurudwaras in many cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana.
