Over the years, veteran actor Ghanashyam Nayak has entertained a massive fan base, playing the role of Nattu Kaka, on the longest-running sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was recently reported that the 77-year-old actor is battling cancer. His illness, however, has not stopped him from working. Amid cancer battle, the TMKOC fame says he would like to die with his makeup on. He reveals he wants to continue working till his last breath. Ghanashyam Nayak said he only wants to fulfil his wish.
Earlier, it was reported that the actor is undergoing chemotherapy. His son confirmed during an interview that Nayak is doing well. Ghanashyam Nayak’s son said his father is undergoing the chemotherapy session once a month. In September last year, the veteran actor had developed a lump on his neck. He underwent successful surgery for that as well. This year, in April, Nayak was diagnosed with some spots in his neck. Since then, he started undergoing chemotherapy.
Ghanashyam Nayak has worked in about 350 serials with 200 Gujarati and Hindi films. The actor started working as an actor at the age of seven. He played a child artist in the 1960 film Masoom.
