Shailesh Lodha who is known for his role in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is known for expressing his thoughts and opinions boldly. Shailesh remembers a time when he faced backlash online for criticizing The Kapil Sharma Show and later making an appearance on it. He has now clarified the reasons behind his initial criticism. In an interview with Lallantop, Shailesh Lodha revealed that he had collaborated with Kapil Sharma back in 2012 and had even performed together in shows held in Singapore. Specifically, they had worked on the show Comedy Nights With Kapil as a team. He elaborated on his previous criticism, mentioning that he disapproved of the characters Bua and Dadi flirting with guests, believing it to be inconsistent with Indian culture. He affirmed that he stands by his criticism on this matter and even called out the cross-dressing in other shows like Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. TMKOC star mentioned that this kind of comedy is mediocre and we should be intelligent when it comes to humour. Shailesh Lodha clarified that his criticism doesn't imply he would never appear on The Kapil Sharma Show again. He mentioned that his visit to the show was to discuss the significance of Hindi poetry. Despite his critique, he expressed deep respect for Kapil Sharma, considering him a talented artist and a close friend.
