Asit Modi, who is among the most popular producers on TV, thanks to his longest running show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has finally reacted to the news of GuruCharan Singh, who plays the famous character of Sodhi, quitting the show.
A day back, media reports claimed that Gurucharan has decided to discontinue the shoot for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah due to personal reasons and he has informed his decision to the production house. Sodhi has given a letter to them regarding the same.
We contacted Asit Modi to know if the news is true and he said, "I really don't know from where this news is being spread. I haven't received any such letter from him. Right now, I am busy writing my stories and deciding dates on when to resume our shooting."
We also asked Modi about his decision of not giving any pay cuts to his team, when all other producers are practicing it. "Yes, it's true we are not doing any pay cuts and I will try my best that in future too, we don't have to resort to such measures. I will also not be forcing any of my actors to come on the set and shoot if they are uncomfortable due to the situation outside. It will be their decision and I will respect it,"concluded Modi.
While many of the shows are resuming shoots, fans of this longest running show are also eagerly waiting to see fresh episodes. Meanwhile, Sodhi's fans can heave a sigh of relief as the producer has denied any such development.
