Sharad Sankla, the actor beloved for his portrayal of Abdul in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has reportedly left the show, stirring up speculation among fans. This buzz began circulating due to Sharad's noticeable absence from the recent episodes, raising concerns and questions among the show's dedicated audience. Despite the widespread rumors, Sharad has not yet publicly addressed these claims. According to a report from OTT Play, Sharad Sankla quietly exited the show in May 2024, though the reasons for his departure remain unclear. Sharad has been an integral part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since its inception, appearing in the very first episode 16 years ago. His character, Abdul, has been a fixture in the Gokuldham Society, making his sudden disappearance from the storyline all the more noticeable and unsettling for fans.

The character's absence became particularly evident over the past four episodes. It started when Madhavi, played by Sonalika Joshi, mentioned that Abdul's phone was unreachable and that his store had remained closed since the previous Saturday evening. This sudden and unexplained absence left the Gokuldham Society members deeply concerned, prompting them to seek help from Inspector Chaalu Pandey. However, the inspector, having dealt with the society’s quirky antics in the past, was skeptical about Abdul's return.

Adding to the speculation, Sharad's last activity on his Instagram profile, believed to be official, was a video posted on May 7. The clip shows him preparing for a shot on the show's set, with the caption expressing his love for the confidence that makeup provides him. This post, coupled with the ongoing rumors, has only fueled fan concerns about his departure.

Interestingly, Sharad Sankla is not the only actor to have left the show recently. In July 2024, actor Kush Shah, who gained fame as Goli Hansraj Hathi, also announced his exit after 16 years. These departures mark significant changes in the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a show that has long been celebrated for its diverse and dynamic ensemble.

TMKOC continues to feature other prominent actors like Dilip Joshi, Nirmal Soni, Munmun Dutta, Amit Bhatt, and several others, who bring to life the vibrant community of Gokuldham Society. The show, known for its humorous take on the everyday lives of its characters from different cultural backgrounds, remains a staple of Indian television.

However, the potential departure of key characters like Abdul and Goli signals a shift in the dynamic that fans have come to know and love. Whether Sharad Sankla’s absence is temporary or marks a permanent farewell, remains to be seen, leaving fans eagerly awaiting official word from the actor or the show’s creators.
