Ever since the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed into a bill, people across several parts of India like Delhi, Assam, Bangalore and Mumbai have been showing their outrage and disappointment in the form of protests. Celebrities, who aren’t happy with CAA, too, have joined the protests to object. One such case is that of actor and host Sushant Singh, who is famous for his stint in Savdhaan India. However, the day Sushant joined a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act; he announced his exit from the long-running TV show.
“And, my stint with Savdhaan India has ended," wrote the actor on his Twitter account. While the reason behind his exit isn’t confirmed, netizens were quick to assume that Sushant Singh had to pay the price for raising his voice. “A very small price my friend. भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु को जवाब कैसे देंगें?” he replied to fan that asked the same. In an interview with PTI, Sushant Singh stated how isn’t sure if he was asked to leave because of his association with the protests against CAA or due to financial constraints. (ALSO READ -

I don't want to link both these things. I went for the protest and then in the night, I got the message that this will be my last day of the shoot. Maybe it is a coincidence, maybe this was planned. I don't want to speculate." Upon being asked if he demanded the reason behind his firing, the actor said, “No, I take things in my stride. Questioning becomes begging."
Sushant Singh has been often been in the news for fearlessly voicing opinions on several issues, including the #MeToo movement.
