A source close to the show told SpotboyE.com that the serial is going on floors soon and will premiere from July 1 this year. Surbhi will play the protagonist but the male lead is yet to be finalised. Apart from the actress, Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli will also be a part of the show again. They essayed the roles of Dr Shashank Gupta and Dr Juhi Singh in the original Sanjivani (2002).
Just like Nakuul Mehta, actor Namit Khanna was being considered for the show but let us tell you that the actor is not confirmed yet as the makers are still auditioning for the character and a few more actors like Shivin Narang, Rahul Sharma are also in the running.
Coming back to Surbhi, her followers were highly disappointed after her exit from Ishqbaaaz as the show took a long 20-year-leap and even lashed out against producer Gul Khan on social media by creating a chain of Hashtags like #Nosurbhinoishqbaaaz. We know for sure that this news will bring a smile on their faces. Recently, the actress gave a hilarious spin to Katy Perry’s MET Gala 2019 look on social media and had her fans laughing out loud.
For those unaware, Sanjivani was a medical drama that aired on Star Plus in 2002. The show starred actors like Mohnish Bahl, Gurdeep Kohli, Arjun Punj, Vikram Gokhale, Shilpa Shinde, Gaurav Chanana and Mihir Mishra, amongst many others.
