Tears rolled down choreographer Geeta Kapur cheeks on Teachers’ Day-special episode of the ongoing dance reality show, Super Dancer 4. The episode was graced by choreographer-turned-director, Farah Khan. Farah has been a mentor, guru and nothing less a parent for her. As the contestants of the show, paid a big salute to Geeta Kapur, she got emotional and her eyes got moist. Contestants mentioned Geeta is not only a mother to them whom they lovingly call Maa on the show but a friend and guide off camera.
As all of them bowed down to her, she got emotional and Farah comforted her with a warm hug. Farah states Geeta deserves all of the love and respect. Also unlike the contestants, she won’t bow down to her, as parents don’t bow down to their children in our culture. Instead, she hugged her. She was heard saying, “Geeta, you deserve all this love, all this respect and far more. Main iski maa hoon toh main isko sajda... Hum mein allowed nahi hai ki maa-baap sajda karein. Isliye main sirf hug dungi.”
Geeta revealed all her achievements in her career are only because of Farah. Also, she shared; she learnt honesty from her followed by addressing Farah as her ‘Maa’ thanked her for being the best guru. “Honesty kaam ke baare mein agar maine kahin seekha hai toh sirf inse seekha hai. Maa, thank you for being the best guru in the world,” responded Geeta.
Geeta Kapur began her career as one of the dancers in Farah’s team, followed climbing up the ladder by donning a chorographer’s hat.
